“We are hiring an experienced Full stack Back-End Developer to boost our research and development activities.”

COZYO is a growing startup based in Vienna, Austria

We work in a multi-disciplined team, on an innovative product in the booming online market. We are developing Interior Design Technology for E-Commerce Optimization in the furniture industry.


It is expected of you to work with a high level of independence. Bouncing off ideas, fast iterating and pivoting are all part of our everyday reality, so flexibility plays a big role. Entrepreneurial and Startup Mindset are vital.

In your role as a Full-stack Backend Engineer, you will use your skills to:

  • Create REST based web services and APIs for consumption by mobile and web platforms
  • Co-design and co-implement novel algorithms for 3D object manipulation
  • Configure and maintain staging of our services to our in-cloud instances
  • Code for the future – high quality, test covered, performant and scalable code base
  • Exchange knowledge, set up a collaborative workflow with the team
  • Carve your way into mentoring and leading other new engineering team members as the team is growing

 Specifically, though, we need you to have:

  • 4+ years software engineering experience with expertise in some of the following: C++,  Java, C#.
  • Experience designing and developing service-based architectures. Specifically REST based(OpenAPI – Spec)
  • Experience designing data persistence and caching concepts using both SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.g.: MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc…)
  • Enough DevOps experience to setup, configure and maintain your own dev/build environment (we use AWS & Docker).
  • Utilisation of open source technologies and libraries
  • Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (e.g. Agile software development, test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, pair programming etc…)

Additional Preferred Competencies:

  • Algorithmic complex problem-solving experience, i.e optimization techniques
  • Experience with building containerized microservices
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience/Understanding in Big Data analysis, Machine learning





Yatta Is a startup based in Vienna, Austria. We work in a multi-disciplined, multi-national team, on an innovative product in the booming online market. We are developing Interior Design Technology for E-Commerce Optimization in the furniture industry. You will be working with experienced architects who worked with the famous Zaha Hadid and be one of the first employees to share the pains and gains of the startup game. COZYO is the main project at YATTA GmbH. It is a novel furniture recommender and visualization system powered by machine learning and proprietary placement algorithms. The company was founded in January 2017. In March 2017, the Company has been selected to participate in the INiTS Business Incubator 3 months program in Vienna. Q3 2017 he startup, with its main project COZYO, was selected as IKEA's Bootcamp Top 20(out of  1300 applicants).  End of Q4 2017 the Company closed an Angel investment round. We are currently collaborating with the Technical University of Vienna on our development tasks. And in Q1 2018 Project COZYO receives a positive evaluation by FFG and is being funded by the FFG.
